FREE Skate Exchange

It’s that time of year again to welcome back the Community Skate Exchange program brought to you by Brantford Parks and Recreation and the Brantford Public Library!

Over the past 7 years of the program, over 1000 pairs of skates have been distributed, 400 of those given away last winter alone!

Please donate those old skates you don’t use anymore and to give someone else the opportunity to skate this winter.

You can drop your unused skates off at: Parks and Recreation, Main Library Branch, Woodman Park, Doug Snooks Eagle Place, T.B Costain/SC Johnson Community Centres, Civic Centre, Lions Park/Steve Brown Sports Complex or Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre.

If you are in need of a pair of skates visit a Skate Exchange. There are three skate give-a-way dates set for...

  • Monday December 11th 3:30-5:30pm at the Brantford Public Library – Main Branch.
  • Saturday January 20th 11:00am-2:00pm at the Brantford Public Library – Main Branch.

Community businesses, we challenge you to a skate drive! Organize a skate drive at your workplace and we’ll pick up the skates.

Please contact Parks and Recreation 519-756-1500 x5523 for any questions regarding the program!
