Volunteer Opportunities

Harmony Square is home to many exciting events in the downtown area. These events are a great way to gain your community involvement hours for graduation! Below is a list of events that YOU can volunteer for.

Frosty Fest (February)

Family Day Weekend Freedom House presents Brantford's Winter Carnival FROSTY FEST in Harmony Square! This annual celebration of LIFE in the winter sees the return of the popular ice carving, horse-drawn trolly rides, a street midway, snow taffy and this year features a professional snowboarding competition as well as a pancake breakfast!  Admission is FREE and will be the setting for full-family holiday weekend memories for years to come!

Chili Cook Off (February)

This one day event is sure to fill your appetite! For only $5.00/person you can taste test over 18 different chili’s! Live entertainment, good friends and great chili, what a great way to spend your Sunday!

Downtown Brantford Scare in the Square (October)

Downtown Brantford Scare in the Square is a two day event that turns the downtown into a spooktacular place to be! There is something for everyone including an outdoor movie, zombie walk, haunted house, trick or treating, ghost hunts,  and much more!

Parade After Party (November)

After enjoying the Santa Claus Parade you can meet Santa himself right in Harmony Square! Lots of opportunities for photographs you won’t want to miss this special occasion for the whole family.

Times Square in Harmony Square (December 31)

This ever growing, ever popular event featuring 2 sets of fireworks, one for an early ball drop for the kids and another set to ring in the New Year! The main stage features both children’s entertainment and a crowd pleasing headliner! Harmony Square is the place to be on New Year’s Eve.
