Noise By-law Exemption Permit
You can request an exemption to the Noise By-law by filling out an application form for a noise exemption (pdf will open up in new window) and submitting it to the Clerk's Department. A $100.00 fee must be accompanied with the application.
If you are applying for a Noise By-law Exemption, you must notify residential properties within 120 metres of the location/event that you are applying for an exemption. A Notice of Noise Exemption template is included with the application form. Your exemption application must be accompanied by a copy of the resident notice with a list of addresses where the notice was sent.
If you are having trouble identifying properties within 120 metres of your event, use Google Maps (will open in new window) to help you. You can use the measuring tool (accessed by right clicking on location) included on Google Maps.
The application along with the Notice of Noise Exemption template must be submitted at least sixty (60) days prior to the event.
