Brantford-Brant Cultural Audience Development Study

Brantford-Brant Cultural Audience Development Study

What is the Brantford-Brant Cultural Audience Development Strategy?

The Brantford-Brant Cultural Audience Development Strategy is a partnership between the City of Brantford, the County of Brant and Cobalt Connects. The project aims to provide current market research data and training resources for the cultural sector and to develop local cultural tourism potential by improving the market readiness and sustainability of cultural attractions and organizations. With financial support from the Government of Ontario and Enterprise Brant, CoBALT Connects has been retained to conduct the study and prepare the final strategy.

What is the timeline for this project?

This project is now complete.

How will the Strategy help me?

The Brantford-Brant Cultural Audience Development Strategy will:

  • Provide current market research related to the cultural sector in the City of Brantford and the County of Brant;
  • Result in a written strategy report prepared by an independent consulting firm that will identify local assets and areas of opportunity for local arts and heritage organizations to partner, enhance capacity, and grow cultural tourism;
  • Identify recommendations to improve local services and collaboration, including opportunities to attract new audiences; and
  • Develop a “toolkit” of training resources and measurement tools that will be made available to local cultural organizations.
