Call for Public Art Jury Roster
City of Brantford - Call for Public Art Jurors
The City of Brantford Public Art Subcommittee is requesting applications for the Public Art Jury Roster. All artists commissioned through the City of Brantford’s Public Art Program initially undergo assessment by a Public Art Jury. Members of this jury will act as peer evaluators, providing recommendations for each Public Art project applicable through the City’s Public Art Policy.
The Jury Roster will serve as a list of qualified artists and other community arts/design professionals (including architects, landscape architects, and educators or administrators in the arts or heritage fields) eligible to serve on Public Art juries. Each jury will include artists from the roster with knowledge pertinent to the project criteria. Jury members should be capable of providing a critical analysis of the artist’s qualifications, as well as of the suitability of the proposal under review.
If you wish to apply for the City of Brantford Public Art Jury Roster, please submit an application form and a complete CV (curriculum vitae). Applications will be kept on file for a period of one (1) year. Jurors will be selected from the roster by the Public Art Subcommittee as determined by the number and scope of proposed Public Art projects within the City of Brantford. Application to the Jury Roster does not guarantee your participation on a jury. While all applications for the Public Art Jury Roster are appreciated, only those who meet the professional qualifications identified in the Public Art Policy will be added to the roster. All artists added to the roster will be notified within a month of receipt of the completed application.
Nominations are also accepted. If you wish to nominate someone for the Jury Roster please complete an application form, completing the section for nominees. Once your package has been received, your nominee will be sent information on completing the application requirements.
