Olympic Torch Relay Celebration

Olympic Torch Relay Celebration - Brantford, Ontario

The City of Brantford was honoured to be one of more than 1000 Canadian communities that hosted the Olympic Flame as it travelled from coast to coast to coast in the 106 days leading up to the Opening Ceremonies of the 2010 Winter Games.

The Olympic Flame has long been a symbol of the Olympic Games. But it is also a symbol of peace and friendship, of inspiration and passion and, above all, it is a symbol of unity.

The Olympic Torch Relay, presented by Coca-Cola and RBC and supported by the Government of Canada, represents an extraordinary opportunity to unify not only our community but all Canadians, generating tremendous pride in our nation while truly celebrating the coming of the Games.

The Brantford Olympic Torch Relay Celebration was held on December, 21, 2009
