Planning
The Planning Department provides support to Council on all planning matters. The department is responsible for all land-related development applications, prepares policies and regulations to guide future land use in Brantford, researches factors that affect land use in the City and monitors and provides information on development activity in Brantford. The Planning Department is also responsible for estimation of population and employment growth and housing needs and advises Council on issues that affect the growth and development of the community. In addition to these functions, the Planning Department provides administrative and professional assistance to the Adjustment and Brantford Heritage Committee.
