Jo Brennan served on City Council as an Alderman/Councillor for 18 years between 1977 and 1997. Jo's many accomplishments included 15 years of service with the Federation of Canadian Municipalities. She served in various capacities with FCM including Chair of the Ontario Caucus and as a member of the Executive. In addition, Jo was very dedicated in her service to the community.

Jo's commitment to improving the accessibility of municipal facilities was readily apparent. Jo was a driving force behind improving the "access to the Council Chambers, the entrance to City Hall and the installation of an elevator at the Gretzky Centre." Jo Brennan made a lasting contribution to the City while serving on City Council.
