Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre Expansion Project
The City of Brantford is excited to announce an expansion project intended to revitalize and rebuild the Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre! This project is made possible by the commitment of equal funding of $15,960,782 from each of the Government of Canada, the Government of Ontario and the City of Brantford. The total project value is $47,882,345.00 The services of CS&P Architects Inc. in association with MMMC Inc. Architects have been retained to design and develop the expansion.The Building Canada Fund – Communities Component (BCF-CC) requires construction to commence in 2009 and substantial completion is targeted for Spring 2011. This quick timeline is intended to stimulate economic growth, create new jobs and enhance the overall prosperity of Ontarians. The project will impact the use of the entire site throughout various stages of the construction. Every effort will be made to accommodate the needs of our customers, however, service disruptions in a project of this size are expected.
