Colborne and Dalhousie Street Two-Way Conversion
CITY OF BRANTFORD CONVERSION OF COLBORNE STREET AND DALHOUSIE STREET TO TWO-WAY TRAFFIC OPERATIONS NOTICE OF STUDY COMPLETION
The City of Brantford has completed a Class Environmental Assessment that has investigated various alternatives for improvements to Colborne Street and Dalhousie Street.
The preferred design involves the conversion of Colborne Street and Dalhousie Street to two-way traffic operations. The recommended plan and supporting information have been documented in an Environmental Study Report.
The study was conducted in compliance with Schedule “C” of the Municipal Engineers Association Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (June 2000). The Environmental Study Report is available for public review at the following locations listed on the Contacts Page from the left hand navigation.
Comments regarding the Environmental Study Report must be in writing to the City of Brantford or the Consulting Engineer, AMEC Earth and Environmental, by November 28th, 2010. If concerns regarding this project cannot be resolved in discussion with City of Brantford staff, a person may request that the Minister of the Environment make an order for the project to comply with Part II of the Environmental Assessment Act (referred to as a Part II Order). Requests for a Part II Order must be received by the Minister in writing at the address provided below. A copy of the request must also be sent to the Director, Design and Construction Services City of Brantford. If no request is received by November 28th, 2010, the City of Brantford may proceed with detailed design and construction. This notice is first advertised on October 29, 2010, followed by a second advertisement on November 5, 2010.
