Brant-Brantford Affordable Housing Strategy
Your input is important to us! All residents of the County of Brant and City of Brantford are encouraged to come out and participate in a public consultation session regarding the development of a new Affordable Housing Strategy Report on September 30, 2009 at 6:30 p.m.

An Affordable Housing Strategy Report was completed in 2003 based on data from the 2001 census. Statistics Canada has now released the 2006 census data and the City of Brantford has hired SHS Consulting Inc. to complete an updated comprehensive Affordable Housing Strategy Report.
This report will include an analysis of census data and housing trends, identify gaps in services, and make recommendations as to how to close or bridge the gaps and explore how we can continue to meet the housing needs of the residents of Brant/Brantford. The report will also review the outcome of the 2003 recommendations.
In order to ensure the report is thorough, it will include input from the local housing stakeholders and the general public. The consulting firm has conducted interviews and hosted a stakeholders’ consultation session. The consulting firm has analyzed the data collection and would like to receive input from local residents.

The Public Consultation Session is an important piece of the final report. All residents of the City of Brantford and the County of Brant are invited to attend the public consultation session:
