Celebrate Canada Day 2010! 

Join the party at Lions Park/Steve Brown Sports Complex on Thursday, July 1, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.  Enjoy live entertainment, shop in the marketplace, check out the midway ... this is one birthday bash you don't want to miss!

This annual celebration get better with each passing year.  Notably new in 2010 is the Campbell Amusements Kidzone - this year, midway rides add to the excitement alongside the inflatable bouncing structures, activities, and other fun kid-friendly activities! 

“Our Young Canadians program promises to delight everyone with a variety of activities that will occur throughout the day,”   Lori-Dawn Cavin,Coordinator of the Canada Day Planning Committee, said.  Included in the line-up so are are pony rides, the Academy of Dance Interactive Children’s Area, Freedom House “Random Acts of Kindness Area," and, new for 2010; the Campbell Amusements KidsZone, to name just a few.

“Everyone loves the midway, and the Campbell Amusements KidsZone is sure to be a great addition to our City's Canada Day celebration. The pay-one-price wrist band for all-day riding access is sure to make the midway popular with parents as well as kids!”  Cavin said.

The OLG Main Stage has a full line-up of live entertainment from festival opening to close.  The early afternoon caters to our younger Canadians, while the later afternoon and evening features bands the whole family will enjoy.

11:30 a.m. - Opening Ceremonies feature the Brantford Symphony Orchestra

12:30 p.m. - Harry and His Bucket Full of Dinosaurs - as seen on Treehouse TV

1:15 p.m.  - Dubbed often as the Brantford Wiggles ... we are proud to welcome the Silly Billies to Canada Day!

2:30 p.m.  - Harry and His Bucket of Dinosaurs (repeat performance)

3:30 p.m.  - Stars of Pop - a tribute to Hannah Montana, Miley Cirus, Taylor Swift, Demi Lovato and Lady Gaga

5:00 p.m.  - The Frand DiFelice Band

6:00 p.m.  - The Bar Chords

7:00 p.m.  - Jonesy

8:30 p.m.  - Headliner Canadian Music Superstar Michelle Wright

10:00 p.m. - The City of Brantford proudly lights up the sky with the annual Canada Day fireworks display

In addition to all of this fabulous entertainment, the 2010 Celebration features a marketplace complete with arts,crafts and merchandise you will have trouble resisting, Firefit and Top Cop Competitions (July 1 & 2), the Expositor's Young Canadians Children's Area and the Young Canadians Stage Performances.
