Curtain Rises on Brantford Film Festival

With over 200 film submissions from all over North America, Brantford's first film festival promises to be an exciting, thought provoking and inspiring experience.

This independent film festival offers a range of submissions from a variety of genres, cultural insights and production styles. The films are submitted in five categories: Aboriginal, Feature, Documentary, Youth/Student and Shorts.

Submissions came from far and wide, and our local films held their own, proving to be both poignant and well produced. Public film screenings for the Brantford Film Festival (BFF) begin  October 15, 2010, at several downtown venues, including Laurier’s Odeon and Carnegie buildings.

The first of its kind, the BFF is made possible through the efforts of the Brantford Arts Block, Brantford Public Library, City of Brantford, Laurier Brantford, Brantford Film Group, Woodland Cultural Centre and DAM Studios.

Tickets for individual screenings and event passes go on sale September 7, 2010.  Get yours early!  With this much buzz, this is sure to be a sold-out event.

For more information or tickets, please click to visit the BFF website, or click to send the Brantford Arts Block an email.  Both of these will open in new browser windows.
