E-Biz Boot Camp: Achieve Online Marketing Success 

Make the most of your business opportunities! Attend this four-part series of workshops, hosted by the Brantford-Brant Business Resource Enterprise Centre (BRC), and gain the knowledge you need to develop a winning Web strategy.

E-Biz Boot Camp is designed with this end result in mind: Learn the fundamentals of doing business online, practical Web-business ideas, recommendations and money-saving strategies to get your business noticed online.

“The Internet has become an important communication tool in the modern business world, but too many small and medium-sized businesses have outdated sites, or don’t have a Web presence at all,” Cory Kittel, coordinator of Student Connections, said. “The eBiz Boot Camp will give business owners the tools and knowledge they need to develop and implement a successful Web strategy.”

The BRC, in partnership with Student Connections, a student-run e-business training service at Laurier, is pleased to present the E-Biz workshops, scheduled to be held every Tuesday evening from March 3 to March 31st, 2009.

Topics addressed include: writing effective content for the Web, identifying target audiences, taxes and legal issues, creating selling strategies, and optimizing websites for search engines. E-Biz Boot Camp will feature guest speakers and industry experts within the Brantford-Brant community who are set to provide a practical look at the challenges and advantages of selling online.

“With the current economic challenges it is critical local businesses increase the market they are reaching and promote themselves on the Internet,” Trudy Belanco, Senior Small Business Consultant at the BRC in Brantford, said. “It's the quickest way to open your doors 24/7.”

This workshop series is a continuation of last year’s successful workshop series, which focused on the highlighting the features and benefits of Web-based marketing strategies.

The E-Biz Boot Camp will be held March 3rd, 10th, 24th, and 31st from 6:15-9:15 p.m. at the Business Resource Centre, 1 Market Square, Suite 201, Brantford.

The cost is $50 for a single session or $150 for all four sessions.
