Holiday Garbage and Recycling Pick-up Schedule 

Please be advised that garbage and recycling pick up for December 25th will take place one day later, on December 26th. Garbage and recycling pick-up for January 1st will also occur one day later, on January 2nd, 2010. The Christmas Tree Collection will be taking place from January 4th to the 15th. Please remember to remove all decorations from Christmas trees, refrain from using plastic bags and tie loose branches and garland in bundles to place with your tree.

As a reminder:

Materials you can recycle:

  • Cardboard tubes, cardboard boxes
  • Egg Nog/Juice cartons
  • Plastic & glass bottles

*Remember to flatten and tie corrugated cardboard into 30” x 30”x 8” bundles and set beside blue box.

Materials you can not recycle:

  • Wrapping paper & tissue paper
  • Styrofoam & other types of non-recyclable
  • Packaging and "cushions"
  • Strings of Christmas lights
  • Plastic utensils, cups, plates, bowls, napkins etc.
  • Try to bring boxes out the morning of the collection day to avoid materials getting wet overnight by rain and snow
  • Please be aware that when the snow starts to pile up, place your garbage and recycling in a safe location that does not require our contractors to scale snowbanks
