Laurier Principal Pens Brantford Tome
Dr. Leo Groarke, Principal/Vice President of the Brantford Campus of Wilfrid Laurier University, will be at St. Andrew's United Church, sharing selected readings and anecdotes from his new book, "Reinventing Brantford."
Groarke takes the reader on a journey that visits Brantford's history. The book begins with tales of grandeur from years long past to the devastating economic collapse that led to a shift in the city's economy and resulted in an uprising in industrialism. Groarke then leads the reader to Laurier's arrival in Brantford's downtown, the university's somewhat tumultuous beginning and its successes throughout the 10 years it has been in the city.
