    The following resolution was approved at the City Council meeting April 19, 2010:

    WHEREAS the internationally renowned comedian Phil Hartman was born in Brantford in 1948 and remained through public school; and

    WHEREAS he was recognized for his sketches and impressions, such as Bill Clinton, on 'Saturday Night Live'; and

    WHEREAS he was an incredible comedy actor as Bill McNeal on the NBC sitcom 'News Radio'; and

    WHEREAS he was a regular guest as a variety of voices on 'The Simpsons'; and

    WHEREAS the City of Brantford has recognized him on our Walk of Fame;

    THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City of Brantford, in collaboration with MPP Dave Levac and MP Phil McColeman, endorse the efforts of Phil's brother, Paul, to have the Canadian Walk of Fame recognize Phil in this year's inductees on the streets of Toronto; and

    FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED THAT petitions to support this resolution be placed in all City buildings having public access such that Brantfordians can add their names.
