City of Brantford Ward Boundary and Council Structure Review
For Immediate Release
Lori Wolfe, City Clerk
The Citizens Committee to Review Remuneration, Ward Boundaries and Council Structure Options is beginning Phase 2. This phase reviews municipal electoral boundaries in Brantford. The purpose is to make changes to the City’s ward boundaries so they are similar in size by population and number of eligible electors. The committee expects to present the Phase 2 final report to City Council in September 2012. The goal is to have the changes in place for the 2014 municipal election.
The committee is at the public consultation stage and has scheduled five open house sessions and developed an online survey.
Drop in to an open house, see the maps, ask questions about the options, and fill out a survey or a comment card. City staff and committee members will be on hand to answer questions and discuss the options.
