The City’s Parks Services, Horticultural division took home the top award in the floral art category for its infamous “Peacock” floral display, located at Glenhyrst Gardens. The winners in five categories were announced yesterday, August 18, at the Landscape Ontario and University of Guelph Trial Gardens open house in Milton.

“I couldn’t be more proud of the team’s efforts, and the passion and commitment they bring to their work every day to make Brantford a more beautiful place to live, work and play,” says Rob Sawicki, Supervisor of Horticulture and Turf. The team that worked on the winning display included Mark Meloun, Joanna Konchowiec-Szeksztello, Deb McCoy, Megan Piette, Jordan Kotiuk, and Aleah McCormick.
