Today, members of the Kiwanis Field Committee along with the Grand Erie District School Board and the governments of Ontario and Brantford celebrated the start of construction for the new Kiwanis Field outdoor athletic facility. Featuring both synthetic turf and an 8 lane rubberized track as well as permanent bleacher seating, a central press box, electronic scoreboard and light standards for night time use, the Kiwanis Field will accommodate a variety of sports including football, soccer, track and field, rugby and field lacrosse. The new Field will also be suitable to play host to a number of prestigious events including Special Olympics and Para Sports.

Today’s ground breaking celebrates a culmination of extraordinary work done by the Kiwanis Field Committee, the Brantford Artificial Turf Fields Committee, the City of Brantford Parks and Recreation staff and the Grand Erie District School Board staff.
