On Wednesday January 6, 2016 City of Brantford Mayor Chris Friel and County of Brant Mayor Ron Eddy signed an historic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that establishes the basis of a formal boundary agreement between both municipalities. • To negotiate a comprehensive “Future Agreement” that will define the parameters of the transfer of jurisdiction
  • To provide ample opportunity for the public to provide their input during the formal agreement development process
  • To ensure that nothing in the MOU or Future Agreement shall be construed to take away from Aboriginal, treaty, constitutional, or other rights of the Six Nations of the Grand River and the Mississaugas of the New Credit First Nation or their members.
