Flood Pictures 

At 10:30 am on February 21, 2018, the City of Brantford declared a state of emergency due to a flooding crisis impacting the neighborhoods of Holmedale, Old West Brant and Eagle Place. People in those areas were strongly urged to evacuate immediately. The evacuation remained in place until February 22nd at 4:30 pm at which time the City, in partnership with the Grand River Conservation Area confirmed that the water levels had receded to an extent that the threat of ongoing flooding had dissipated.
