Over 50 representatives from local businesses attended the Brantford Hotel Association’s (BHA) Corporate Appreciation Night on Wednesday evening. The event included tickets to the Jim Belushi and the Board of Comedy performance at the Sanderson Centre for the Performing Arts and a VIP cocktail reception with catering by White Rabbit Catering and the Hampton Inn and Suites – Brantford.

Attendees were surprised when Jim Belushi entered the room to speak to the group prior to his show. Belushi shared some of his humour and bantered back and forth with the crowd before posing for a few photos.

“This is our second annual BHA Corporate Appreciation Event and these events are important to us to show our appreciation to the businesses in our community for their continued support in generating overnight stays,” said Kirby Brown, Chair of the Brantford Hotel Association.

The BHA credits many local organizations, large and small, such as Ferrero Canada Ltd., Mitten Vinyl, Hydro One, Six Nations Polytechnic, and more for much of their corporate business throughout the year. Tourism Brantford assisted in coordinating the BHA’s event.

“The Brantford Hotel Association, in partnership with Tourism Brantford, is launching a new program to help your organization’s meetings and conventions,” says Donna Clements, Tourism Business Development Officer, City of Brantford. “A company can receive up to $3,000 in cash for hosting a new event here in Brantford.”

Tourism Brantford offers many services to help with meetings and conventions. Staff can assist with site inspections, bid packages and welcome kits, publicity and more.

The Brantford Hotel Association (BHA) consists of four major hotels in the city, including the BEST WESTERN PLUS Brant Park Inn and Conference Centre, Days Inn - Brantford, Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton – Brantford and the Quality Inn & Suites – Brantford. The BHA is a registered not-for-profit organization and members work closely with the city to bring more tourism dollars to Brantford.
