Mohawk Park Closed Due to High Winds

Mohawk Park has been closed due to hydro line damage from a fallen tree and numerous limbs and branches are also down throughout the area. The park will remain closed until the wind subsides and an inspection can be undertaken and the park made safe.
In addition, the City of Brantford is urging residents to stay off the trails in wooded areas and wooded park sites. While we make every effort to ensure safe parks and trails, the current windy conditions are causing numerous unsafe conditions. At this time, the City's forestry crews are working to ensure both private and public trees are not affecting streets, traffic movement and hydro delivery.
