City to Celebrate 2015 New Years' Baby

Continuing the tradition of showering the City of Brantford New Year’s Baby with gifts, the first baby born in 2015 in the City of Brantford will receive a gift basket containing items which have been selected to enrich the child’s life and provide joy to the family now and for years to come.

The 2015 City of Brantford’s New Year’s Baby will receive a gift basket from Mayor Chris Friel’s office containing the following items:

  • $250 Registered Education Savings Plan courtesy of Royal Bank, Colborne Street, Brantford
  • Enrollment in the Dolly Parton Imagination Library, where the newborn will receive a new, age-appropriate book in the mail monthly until their fifth birthday
  • A souvenir “onesie” designed by local merchant Itzy Bitzy Glitzy, Colborne Street, Brantford
  • A custom quilt, designed and sewn with love by Teresa Allman, City of Brantford Employee
  • A congratulatory certificate from the Mayor’s office recognizing the occasion
  • Various other supplies and necessities
