The Bell Homestead National Historic Site is pleased to bring you three of its most popular annual events again this May!
Join us at the Homestead for Eliza Bell Mother's Day Brunch on Sunday, May 8. Your reservation to brunch includes a delicious, homemade meal in the Homestead Café and a guided tour of the 1870s house that Eliza called home. This event runs from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Always a sell-out, this event books up fast, so call to reserve your spot today!
Treasure or Trash? Antique Appraisal Day is back! If you have something that you're wondering what it's worth or even what it is, bring it down to the Bell Homestead NHS between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 15 - John Pruden and his associates from Board & Batten Antiques will take a look and offer a verbal opinion on your treasures. Registration begins at 10:30 a.m.; $10 for Bell Homestead Society Members, $15 for non-members; limit of three items per person.
The end of May is always host to one of the largest events at the Homestead. We're starting to prepare for spring's arrival - how about you? Join us at our 16th Annual Barn Sale on Saturday, May 28 from 8 a.m. to 12 noon. This rummage sale includes household items, furniture, clothing and oddities galore! Got items you want to get rid of? Drop off your donations to the Homestead, or call us to arrange for a pick-up ... and remember ... one person's junk is another's treasure!
