Update: King George Watermain Project

Here are the next steps planned. The project is expected to be completed by mid-November, weather permitting.

  • The water quality testing on the project has all passed.

The contractor will keep traffic flowing around the following construction areas:

  • Road repairs and final asphalt is underway along the east side of King George Road- Elmwood Avenue to Hwy 403
  • Two final water connections will be made at Elm Street and Queensway Drive this week, weather permitting.  A closure of Queensway Drive at King George Road will be required for one day to complete the connection at the intersection
  • Road repairs and asphalt resurfacing along the west side of King George Road- Eastbourne Street to Hwy 403
  • New pavement markings will be placed on the final asphalt surface
