Traffic Control Changes – Clarence Street Intersection at Dundas Street/ Elgin Street  

This Public Notice is to advise that the traffic control at the intersection of Clarence Street at Dundas Street / Elgin Street will be modified on Sunday, May 21, 2017.

Two key modifications will occur simultaneously at the intersection as follows:

Traffic Signal Hardware and Phasing Modifications
Traffic Signal heads with left turn arrows will be installed for both Clarence Street approaches. The new signal sequence will be configured as such that northbound Clarence Street traffic will proceed under protection of green arrow followed by southbound Clarence Street traffic proceeding under protection of green arrow.

Elgin Street and Dundas Street approaches will remain the same.

Sign Modifications
"3 phase signal sequence" and signs featuring "New" will be installed for the northbound and southbound approaches on Clarence Street.

It is expected that there will be traffic delays during the changeover estimated to take approximately 3 hours to complete. Motorists and pedestrians are advised to take extra caution while the changeover and adjustment to the new configuration takes place.
