CITY OF BRANTFORD FLOOD EVENT FEBRUARY 2018

The City of Brantford’s first and foremost priority is the health, safety and well-being of our residents. The following information has been prepared to assist City of Brantford residents affected by the Flood Event in February who may be eligible for provincial government aid. To support victims of the flood in Branford, the Ontario Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing has activated the Disaster Recovery Assistance for Ontarians program for those residents located in the defined activation area.

WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?

Step 1 Notify your Insurance Provider of your property damage to determine eligible coverage

Step 3 Refer to the attached Notice provided by the Ministry of Municipal Affairs for program details and links to online resources (hard copy included in information packages available for pickup at the locations noted below).

Please note that additional Information Sessions to provide direct assistance with completion of the Ministry Application for Disaster Assistance for Ontarians will be scheduled for the week of March 13-17. Information will be shared via the City's Facebook (facebook.com/CityofBrantford), Twitter (@CityofBrantford) and Website (www.brantford.ca) and emailed to those that have registered their properties with the City using the contact information provided.

Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 8:30 am – 4:30 pm
