The City of Brantford has two beautiful libraries that house a large amount of books, videos, dvds, and other resource tools. Spend an afternoon in a cozy corner of one of our facilities reading a book, or settle in for a quiet afternoon of research and study. A strong dedication to combining traditional services with cutting-edge technology has earned the City's libraries the reputation of being among the best resource facilities in the country.

The Brantford Public Library has received many awards over the years, including being the first public library in North America to be invited to join the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) model library network, a specialized United Nations Agency that, "is working to create the conditions for genuine dialogue based upon respect for shared values and the dignity of each civilization and culture."
