Brantford Facility Accessibility Design Standards
On November 16, 2009 Brantford City Council adopted the Brantford Facility Accessibility Design Standards. These standards are comprised of fixed measurements and other requirements that will be used in conjunction with the Ontario Building Code and the Principles of Universal Design, previously adopted by Council. The Standards ensure a higher and more consistent level of accessibility throughout the City.
Upon adoption by Council, the Brantford Facility Accessibility Design Standards were immediately effective and apply to all new construction and applicable renovations of all City of Brantford owned, operated or leased facilities.
Questions regarding accessibility can be directed to the Accessibility Plan Coordinator. Additional assistance can be provided as requested.
