2017 DOG LICENCE RENEWALS
For current owners the 2017 Dog Licence Renewal Notices were mailed at the beginning of November, 2016 with a self-addressed return envelope included. This is a reminder that effective January 1, 2017 additional charges will apply. You have until December 31, 2016 to take advantage of the reduced rate
The City of Brantford is home to various organizations and business that offer a range of animal services, from adopting a pet to wildlife control. Visit the Brantford SPCA website to get the latest information on making a donation, or to view dogs, cats and other animals that are ready for adoption online at http://www.brantcountyspca.com.
There are various organizations in town to help you with animal control services, from the Humane Wildlife Control - a national wildlife removal organization who's mission is to proactively deal in a humane manner with urban wildlife encounters thought education, prevention, and hands on removal - or any other of the wonderful wildlife control companies within Brantford.

Dog Licensing & Bylaws
Application forms for dog licences are available through the link below or at the City's Clerks Office, 1st Floor, 100 Wellington Street, Brantford, Ontario.
Complete the application and mail with payment to City of Brantford, P.O. BOX 818, Brantford, ON N3T 5R7 or bring the completed form and payment to the City Clerk's Dept., City Hall 100 Wellington Square or Finance Dept. at 220 Colborne St.
POST-DATED CHEQUES ARE NOT PERMITTED. Payment by mail is cheque only. Payment at City Hall by cash, debit, cheque, Visa or Master Card. Payment at Finance Dept. is by cash, debit or cheque.
Hours of Operation
Monday to Friday - 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday - closed.
Effective as of MAY 24, 2005 PIT BULLS are PROHIBITED within the City of Brantford.
If you owned a PIT BULL and registered with the City of Brantford on or before the 1st day of April, 2005 and met all other requirements under the By-law, your dog has been designated as a "RESTRICTED" dog and is permitted to remain with you in the City subject to continued compliance to the By-law requirements.
NO NEW OR REPLACEMENT PIT BULLS ARE PERMITTED
