Policy & Planning

The City of Brantford is pleased to announce that it has completed the General Forest Managment Plan - a guiding document for the sustainable managment of forests on City land.

Many areas of public land are home to beautiful forests that are home to many native plants and animals that contribute to the ecological diversity of Brantford.  To ensure that this ecological diversity is maintained, the City strives to work with the public in the preservation of these important public assets.

Please check out the following two documents to learn more.  The City has completed two major reports: a General Forest Management Plan that is appliccable to all City forests, and a module that specifically studies Waterworks Park in an application of the General Plan principles.
