Neighbourhood Associations
Neighbourhood Associations have been part of the Brantford community since the 40’s and over the years they have been responsible for a lot of activities happening in various neighbourhoods. Today we have 18 associations carrying on the tradition of providing many recreation services to their neighbourhoods, for example: outdoor rinks, playground programs, dances, and special events in their neighbourhood park.We encourage you to get involved in your area’s Neighbourhood Association or to consider being part of organizing an Association if one does not already exist in your particular neighbourhood. If you would like to learn more about the possibilities with an Association, please contact the Brantford Parks and Recreation Department. Staff members would be happy to hear from you and be more than willing to give you all the assistance you will require to be connected to what is happening or to the possibilities of what you can do if we all work together to improve the quality of life within our neighbourhoods. Does your neighbourhood have an active Neighbourhood Association?
