Andrew Pate Park

Andrew Pate Park is situated in the north end of Brantford, Ward 4, and is open and accessible from Viscount Road. A secondary entrance into the park, via a stone dust path, is accessible from Powerline Road. The existing playground is situated in an open area in the south end of the park.

Andrew Pate Park playground renovations

The new playground will move slightly from where the old equipment was situated. The playground areas are much larger and include a wide range of play opportunities from climbing to sliding to swinging to spinning etc. Each play surface will be fully accessible with many ground-based play components for all abilities. A new swing set with an accessible swing as well as a sand play area is also included in the design. An asphalt path will lead into the park from Viscount Road which will wind around the play areas and meet the existing stone dust path just north of the junior play area. A half-court basketball pad will be installed near the entrance of the park with a grass area for spectating. New benches and trees will be installed throughout the new park area with natural features such as grass berms, log borders and a grass picnic area to enjoy.
