Bus Stops

There are approximately 500 bus stops located throughout the City of Brantford. All Transit routes are classed as Priority I (Red Routes), for salting and plowing.

The Brantford Transit Department contracts the services of a private contractor to clear snow and ice from bus stops. Transit staff will coordinate the bus stop snow clearing work with the completion of road plowing work by Operational Services. Canada Post Super Mailboxes

Canada Post is responsible for snow and ice clearing requirements at neighbourhood Super Mailboxes, in order to keep them safe and accessible to the public. The public is encouraged to contact Canada Post directly at 1-800-267-1177, for any mail box snow/ice clearing issues.

Pedestrian Signals At Intersections

There are approximately one hundred and forty-four (144) signalized intersections in the City. The Operational Services Department or its contracted agents will undertake to clean areas adjacent to pedestrian access buttons within 72 hours following the completion of the plowing of City streets. Please contact Operational Services at 519-752-4832 to report snow and ice obstructing access to signal operation push buttons at intersections.
