Let’s Get Moving!

The month of October is Let’s Get Moving Month! Learn how to keep moving with three exciting and complimentary workshops.

Workshop on a Bus

Monday, October 1
Time: 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Location: Airport Community Centre, 3 Airport Road, Brantford

Learn how to use the Brantford Transit System, and discover the Brantford Public Library, Beckett Adult Leisure Centre, Grand River Community Centre and the Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre.
Lunch to be provided.

Let’s Take a Walk!

Wednesday, October 17
Time: 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Location: Boys and Girls Club of Brantford
Lunch provided

Learn about the benefits of walking, tips to prevent falling, and join us for a walk on the indoor walking track. Free transportation to and from event available and lunch to be provided.

Let’s Ride a Bike!

Monday, October 29
Time: 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Location: TB Costain Community Centre
Lunch provided

Learn about the benefits of biking, basic bike maintenance, and experience a guided bike ride along beautiful trails. Free bike and helmet rentals available. Free transportation to an from event available and lunch to be provided.

Programs and Activities

The City of Brantford, through the Healthy Brantford Task Force, is pleased to provide older adults with a range of recreational activities and social events to take advantage of in our community.

While a few of the activities require a registration or membership fee a majority of the programs and services are free.
