Filming Notice: August 26
Recognizing how welcoming film contributes to short-term economic investment, cultural development, and civic pride in the community, the City of Brantford Economic Development, Tourism & Cultural Initiatives Department is pleased to host the cast and crew of “Turkey Meatloaf”.
The production will be filming daytime scenes on Market St. at Dalhousie St. Affected residents and businesses are being notified.
Crews will conduct preparation, filming, and wrap-up activities in the vicinity between August 25 and August 27.
Anticipated Impacts
Road Closures
Under police supervision, the following roads will be closed on August 26 from 6 am to 11 pm:
- Dalhousie St. from Clarence St. to Queen St.
- Market St. (and walkway) from Darling St. to Colborne St.
- Darling St. from Market St. to Charlotte St.
- George St. from Wellington St. to Dalhousie St.
- Charlotte St. from Darling St. to Colborne St.
Lane Closures
The following lanes will be closed from August 25 at 6 pm to August 26 at 12 pm:
- north lane of Colborne St. from Harmony Square to 220 Colborne St.
Intermittent Traffic Stoppages
Under police supervision, the following traffic stoppages will occur on August 26 from 6 am to 11 pm:
- Market St. at Dalhousie St.
Street Parking
The following street parking areas will be occupied to accommodate set up and wrap up activities:
- Dalhousie St. -- south side 4 spots west of Market St., 4 spots east of Market St. from August 24 to August 27
- Dalhousie St. -- north side 5 spots west of Market St. from August 24 to August 27
- Dalhousie St. – George St. to Queen St. -- both sides from Aug 25 at 10 pm to Aug 26 at 11 pm
- Darling St. -- south side from Queen St. to Charlotte St. from August 25 at 10 pm to August 26 at 11 pm
- Colborne St. – Harmony Square to 220 Colborne from August 25 at 65 pm to August 26 at 11 pm
Detours
To accommodate the closures noted above, the following detours will be in place on August 26 from 6 am to 11 pm starting at Dalhousie St. and Clarence St:
- for access to Brant Ave. – north onto Clarence St., west on Dundas St. E, south on Brant Ave.
- for access to West Brant – south onto Clarence St., continue onto Veterans Memorial Parkway.
Noise
The production will be filming in the daytime. No additional noise / special effects are anticipated.
Flags
The Canadian flag flown at City Hall (58 Dalhousie St.) will be temporary replaced with an American flag on August 26.
