City Response to Coronavirus

On April 7, 2021 the Ontario government declared a third provincial emergency under section 7.0.1 (1) of the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act (EMPCA). These measures are being taken in response to the rapid increase in COVID-19 transmission, the threat on hospital system capacity, and the increasing risks posed to the public by COVID-19 variants of concern.  The current  province-wide Stay-at-Home order will remain in effect until further notice.

The City of Brantford continues to closely monitor the COVID-19 pandemic and, in consultation with the Brant County Health Unit and the Brant Community Healthcare System, take steps to help prevent and slow the spread of infection in our community.

In this section, you will find the most up-to-date information regarding the City’s response to the pandemic, including, status of openings, closures, cancellations, rescheduling of programming and alternate formats for accessing City services. Also featured here are specific supports for local businesses as well as ways in which residents can continue to enjoy our community safely. Let's take care of each other. We are all in this together.
