City Service Updates
A province-wide Stay-at-Home order is currently in effect until further notice. This puts in place lockdown measures that are the most stringent, to address rapidly escalating conditions, including the spread of COVID-19 variants of concern.
The City of Brantford’s top priority continues to be the health and safety of our citizens and staff. All non essential in person programs and services will be suspended until further notice. Many popular City services can be requested and addressed using one of our comprehensive online forms, meaning you can conveniently request a city service from the comfort of your home. Protocol for attending City facilities
Upon visiting a City facility, Building Security will ask you if you have an appointment booked. Anyone entering a City facility will be required to answer health-screening questions and sign in for the purposes of contract tracing at the door prior to entering. Hand washing guidelines are to be followed and persons are to maintain a physical distance of 6 feet from others. All visitors will be required to wear a face covering at all times in City facilities. If you do not have a face covering, one will be provided.
Please note, there is a limit to the number of visitors allowed inside at one time, and lines will be outside with appropriate markings for physical distancing.

Brantford Transit continues to offer full 30-minute service and the Brantford Transit Terminal remains open. Wearing a face covering is required in enclosed public indoor spaces, including all public transit, until further notice. Please respect the use of public transit for essential trips only. If you do require transit, please maintain a safe physical distance from others to protect against COVID-19. COVID-19 procedures in place for Brantford Transit:

City Hall is open for service from Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. by appointment only. Appointments can be made by calling 519-759-4150. Many City services can be requested or addressed using one of our comprehensive online forms, meaning you can conveniently request a City service remotely by visiting Brantford.ca/RequestService. Blue boxes are not available at City Hall but can be picked up at the Mohawk Street Landfill Site. When attending City Hall, enhanced COVID-19 protocols will be in place to ensure the health and safety of residents and staff. Residents are strongly encouraged to use alternate payment methods such as making payments online or through the drop box. |

Provincial Offences Court administrative services are available Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., excluding holidays. All in-person services will be offered during this time, with the exception of court proceedings which are only being offered virtually and only for certain matters. Customer service is also available via phone at 519-751-9100 or by email at brantfordpoa@brantford.ca from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday, excluding holidays, for inquires/payments/filings. |

Property Tax and Utility Bills |
You can use the drop off box, located outside of the front doors at City Hall, 100 Wellington Square, to drop off cheques for property tax and water utilities payments. Property Tax The waiving of interest on 2020 taxes and NSF fees ends September 30, 2020. For more information and billing dates, visit the property tax page.
Utilities and Water The City of Brantford's Customer Services-Utilities department handles water, wastewater and Brantford Hydro equipment rentals. You can pay your bills online.
