Financial Literacy Month

November is the 10th anniversary of Financial Literacy Month and the City of Brantford is pleased to offer free online workshops. All of the free financial literacy workshops will be presented virtually and participants will receive a Zoom link to access the workshop before each scheduled event. If you don't have access to a computer, we encourage you to call in to the session instead.

Free Financial Literacy Workshops

Wills and Power of Attorney Workshop
Thursday, November 5 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Join us for a legal presentation by the Community Legal Clinic of Brant and learn more about wills and powers of attorneys.

Money Management and Budgeting
Thursday, November 12 from 10 a.m. to 10:55 a.m.

Credit Canada will take participants through a look at some basic ideas in personal budgeting, with a focus on what has been known to go wrong, and what can be done about it. Topics will include: Irregular Incomes; Fixed Expenses; Non-Fixed Expenses; Goal-Setting; Saving Tips and will conclude with a short Q&A session.

Credit and Debt
Thursday, November 12 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.

In this session, Credit Canada will be presenting on the topics of cost of credit (including a warning about high-cost credit); Credit Histories, Credit Scores, Reports, and Rating.
