Are you a family looking for fun activities while you are staying safe at home? The City of Brantford and County of Brant have connected with our community partners to provide a diverse list of online classes and activities.

Whether you’re looking for fitness classes, art classes, access to books or online learning, there’s something for everyone. Get your friends or family involved to stay connected while staying inside.

Brantford Parks and Recreation 

Harmony the Squirrel says staying at home doesn’t have to be boring, come play with me! Join Harmony the Squirrel in his at home adventures. Harmony the Squirrel will be adding fitness videos, activities, crafts and more that you can do from home! Keep checking the Harmony Square Facebook page for videos. Fun for everyone! 

Brantford Public Library 
  • Get your free temporary digital membership and unlock all the resources has to offer right at your fingertips. Sign up for the Libraries Digital Membership card that was created for those who do not already have an account. It provides temporary access to audiobooks, ebooks, Lynda.com, Universal class tutorials, language tutorials, crafts, downloadable movies, television shows, music, newspapers and magazines.
  • Join the Brantford Public Library for storytime! We'll sing songs, rhymes, and read a picture book. New videos released Mondays and Thursdays. Visit the Home Based Activities page on brantfordlibrary.ca for Virtual Storytime videos. 
  • The Brantford Public Library shares science related activities for you and your family to work on together at home. Visit the STEAM Activities YouTube playlist for the complete videos.

EarlyON Brantford-Brant 
  • EarlyON Brantford Brant offers free programs in Brantford and Brant County for caregivers and children from birth to six years old. You can learn and play with your child, meet people and get advice.

  • Join EarlyON Brantford Brant Facebook page for virtual activities, storytelling, crafts, indigenous learning and parent/caregiver advice. You can find all archived videos in the Content Library.

  • Kids Can Fly is helping new moms with their virtual program HUGS4NEWMOMS. PBS Crafts for Kids 

Focusing on simple, fun and family-friendly projects, the PBS Crafts for Kids weekly series encourages parents to spend meaningful time with their kids making crafts. Many of the projects include recyclable materials, things you already have in your home, and feature PBS KIDS characters. 

Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre 

WGSC will be sharing workouts from their certified personal trainers, including ways to keep your little ones moving. Watch live fitness videos that focus on strategies for strengthening and check out resources that foster mental health and wellbeing. Their Facebook page is an interactive space where connections are made and conversations happen in a safe environment. 

YMCA at Home

Introducing YMCA at Home, a virtual platform that provides you with the ability to connect with your favourite YMCA programs, activities, and instructors without leaving the comfort of your own home. You can expect a safe, fun, and impactful experience. Available for all ages.
