Street Excavation Permit
A Street Excavation Permit from the City is required by a utility company, contractor or any other agencies, companies or individuals for all excavation work carried out within City street rights-of-way including excavation of streets, curb and gutter and sidewalks, prior to beginning construction work.
Applying for a Street Excavation Permit
Please complete the following steps to apply for a Street Excavation Permit:
- If required, arrange for Sanitary and Storm Sewer Lateral Inspections, arrange for Water Inspections. Please contact the City at 519-759-4150 for more information.
- Complete the Street Excavation Permit Application.
- Apply for a Temporary Road/Sidewalk Occupancy Permit, if required.
