Volunteer

Volunteers are the heart of our community. The City of Brantford is grateful for the passion and dedication our volunteers bring to making their community a better place to live, work and play.

Volunteering is a great way to support your community, earn volunteer hours, and build new skills. At the City of Brantford there are many volunteer opportunities available. Whether it’s assisting with special events, helping out at an historic site, or supporting a City program, there is something for everyone.

Below are a number of ways you can GET INVOLVED at the City of Brantford:

Brantford City Council relies on its Advisory Committees and Task Forces to fill an important role in our community. If you are interested in joining one of the City's Committees please visit our Committees and Boards page for more information and a list of available opportunities.

Community Programs, Parks and Recreation

Parks and Recreation is always looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join our team. Consider making a meaningful difference to:

Brantford Youth Council

Brantford Youth Council is a group of local youth volunteers (ages 14- 19) who offer a chance for other youth to be involved in their community. Youth will learn and develop leadership skills as well as have an opportunity to provide input into the programs offered for them.

Newcomer Connections

If you are new to the City, volunteering is a great way to meet people and learn about our community and can be a good path to finding employment. Volunteering  is also about learning new skills, meeting people that have similar interests, making new friends, and getting to know your neighbours. Learn more about how you can make newcomer connections by volunteering.
