Clean Brantford
Cleaning up litter is important to the health and vitality of the community. That’s why the City of Brantford is proud to be hosting a community clean up in honour of Earth Day. On Friday, April 22 and Saturday, April 23, residents are encouraged to Clean our City by collecting litter in their neighbourhoods and around the community.
To participate, individuals, neighbourhood associations, or groups will be required to pre-register online where they can specify their location of clean-up and supplies needed.
While we encourage residents to use their own reusable gloves, clean-up kits are available that include one large garbage bag, one large clear bag and a pair of gloves. Supplies will be available for pick up at the Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre during their operating hours from Tuesday, April 19 until Friday, April 22. The number of kits needed can be specified during registration. The registration deadline is Thursday, April 14 at 4:30 p.m.
Prizes will be randomly awarded to registered participants that submit a photo of their clean-up efforts. Prizes are offered for the following categories:
Individuals |
Individuals can win one of two $50.00 gift cards to the Brantford Farmers’ Market. |
Neighbourhood Associations |
Neighbourhood Associations can win one of two $500.00 prizes to be spent on an environmental initiative in their neighbourhood. |
