Clean Brantford
Cleaning up litter is important to the health and vitality of the community and the Grand River. That’s why the City of Brantford is proud to be hosting the fifth annual community clean up in honour of Earth Day. On Friday, April 17 and Saturday, April 18, residents are encouraged to Clean our City by collecting litter in their neighbourhoods, along the trail networks and Grand River, and around the community.
To participate, individuals, neighbourhood associations, or groups will be required to pre-register online where they can specify their location of clean-up and supplies needed.
While we encourage residents to use their own reusable gloves, clean-up kits are available that include one large garbage bag, one large clear bag for recycling, a pair of gloves, and information on how to dispose of different materials. Clean up kits can be picked up at the Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre, 254 North Park Street, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. or from City Hall Customer Service, 58 Dalhousie Street, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. from Monday, April 13 until Friday, April 18, 2026. The registration deadline is Thursday, April 16 at 4:30 p.m.
Prizes will be randomly awarded to registered participants that submit a photo of their clean-up efforts. Prizes are offered for the following categories:
- Individuals
- Neighbourhood Associations
- Community groups, businesses, or other organizations
