Upgrade schedule

The project is targeted to be completed by early 2026. Beginning in 2024, the Water Meter Upgrade Project will roll out on a Ward-by-Ward basis. Find the Ward that you live or own property in by visiting Brantford.ca/FindMyWard.

When technicians are in your area, you will receive an Appointment Notice brochure in the mail with more detailed information, including instructions on how to book your appointment.

Project timeline:

• Winter 2024
  • Meter replacement will begin with a selection of homes and businesses in Ward 1
• Spring 2024
  • Rollout begins across the City on a Ward-by-Ward basis.
• Winter 2026
  • Installations are anticipated to be completed for all City water customers by early 2026

Current progress

• KTI technicians have completed 85 percent of water meter upgrades in Phase 1
• KTI technicians have completed 75 percent water meter upgrades in Ward 1
• KTI technicians are currently booking appointments to upgrade water meters in Ward 2
