Grasscycling
Grasscycling is a process that allows grass clippings to remain on the lawn after mowing to return nutrients back to the soil. Grasscycling saves time and labour and is a benefit to both the lawn and the environment. Start grasscycling by following these easy steps:
- Sharpen mower blades so grass doesn't tear. Tearing grass makes it more prone to disease.
- Make sure grass is dry.
- Set the blade height to 3 inches.
- Cut the grass.
- Leave grass clippings on the lawn.
It is a simple procedure that saves time, reduces waste and leads to a deeper, healthier root system that increases the lawn's resistance to disease, drought and insects.
If you use a lawn service, tell them to use the grasscycling method.
