Every February, Canadians across the country participate in Black History Month events and educational opportunities that celebrate the legacy of Black Canadians.

A Community Celebration of Black Wellness & Culture on Thursday, February 19, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Brantford Public Library Main Branch (173 Colborne St.) 3rd Floor Auditorium. Join us for an evening of art, lived experience, and community connection as we honour and celebrate Black joy and excellence. Featuring an art showcase, keynote speaker, creative activities, and light snacks and refreshments.

Thrive Together Inclusion Hub’s Black Joy Through Food & Story Telling Event on Saturday, February 21, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Our Kitchen Brantford (20 Roy Blvd., Unit 34). This event features a live cooking demonstration, storytelling, food tasting, cultural expression opportunities and more! Ticket cost is $30. register at www.ttih.org
