Bulk Water Filling Station

The City of Brantford has one Bulk Water Fill Station located at 10 Earl Avenue. This station is self-serve and operational 24 hours a day, seven days a week, unless otherwise posted.

The Bulk Water rate is detailed in the Water Fees Schedule.

New bulk water purchasing system

We have installed a new, customer friendly system that will allow you greater control and convenience when purchasing your bulk water.

The new web based system will allow you to purchase your bulk water online at any time. The station will no longer require a prepaid smart card, and instead use a unique personalized PIN. This station is unmanned. If you require assistance, Please contact 519-759-4150 or send an email to customercontact@brantford.ca with the request for technical support.

Fill out the online account application, and be sure to include the mandatory information including email and address. A one-time administration and processing fee of $30 is required prior to account setup. The processing fee is non-refundable.

Apply for a Simcom Water Account

Once submitted, please allow 48 hours for the City to review and process the customer application. The customer will receive a confirmation email verifying the account and access code. A link will also be provided to the customer to load their account via a credit card. All accounts will be set-up as prepaid and no charge accounts will be allowed.

How to add funds

Please follow these instructions when filling:

  1. Shut off your vehicle's engine and set parking brake when filling the tank
  2. Connect the 80 mm (3 inch) adaptor from filling station to your vehicle's coupler

For after hours (emergency only) call 519-752-1031. Any problems encountered after business hours will be dealt with during the next business day.

Refunds for existing Bulk Water cards

Current customers will be issued a refund of the remaining balance on their Bulk Water smart cards. To request a refund, please visit either Customer Service at City Hall (58 Dalhousie Street) or the drop off box at the Bulk Water Fill Station (10 Earl Avenue) to return your card. If you are using the drop off box at the Bulk Water Fill Station please ensure you fill out the Bulk Water Refund Request form, and place it in the designated envelopes along with the physical card. Card balances over $5.00 will be reimbursed in addition to $20.00 for the physical card, if returned. Cards must be returned by December 31, 2022 for a full refund.

Refund request can also be mailed. Please complete the Bulk Water Refund Request form and mail it along with your Bulk Water card to:
