The City of Brantford is reminding prospective candidates that Nomination Day for the 2026 Municipal Election is Friday, August 21, 2026. Candidate application packages remain available at the City Hall Customer Service Desk and online at Brantford.ca/Nomination.
Applications are now open for election worker positions for the 2026 Municipal Election. Election workers play an important role in supporting the voting process and helping election days run smoothly. A variety of positions are available for eligible applicants. Applications must be submitted by September 9, 2026.
The City of Brantford is accepting applications from qualified individuals interested in serving on the Municipal Election Compliance Audit Committee. The committee reviews applications related to municipal election campaign finances for candidates and registered third party advertisers.
Notice is hereby given to the Municipal Electors of the City of Brantford that every person who proposes to be a candidate for any office in the 2026 Municipal Election to be held in the City of Brantford on Monday, October 26, 2026, must file a Nomination Paper with the City Clerk responsible for the 2026 Election.
